The CLG Process
All services begin with a free consultation by Peter Cleveland.

These four steps will give you an idea of how the CLG process typically unfolds. Each client is unique; CLG crafts the process according to the business/client needs.

  1. Development of a 5-Year Stragetic Plan, which includes elements such as:
    1. Revenue growth
    2. Corporate culture
    3. Profitability

  2. Definition of your company mission, goals tied to the mission, actions needed to meet your goals.

  3. One-on-one interviews with each person on the management team. CLG needs to determine each team member's:
    1. Risk tolerance
    2. Determination to succeed
    3. Change tolerance
    4. Leadership style
CLG will ask you both personal and business questions - some of which may surprise you. (You may wonder whether you're sitting across from a business strategist or a psychologist. CLG needs to have a clear picture of your business and personal life.)

  4. CLG attendance at monthly management meetings.
Availability and Commitment by CLG
  • CLG will be available between monthly management meetings.
  • CLG does not measure mistakes; nor does it make judgements, but rather guides the company back toward the direction of the strategic plan.
  • CLG matches words with actions - and hold its clients to the same philosophy.
  • CLG will not do your work for you.

  • "Peter came to our attention through our association with the University of Ottawa's School of Management. From the outset, Peter helped focus management's attention on strategic imperatives, while offering provoking and insightful guidance concerning individual management and personnel development. It's been a privilege and an honour to work with Peter."

  • Do you have a mentor or sounding board?
Without someone to mirror our thoughts, or to serve as a sounding board, we can drift away from the business strategy and off our goals. A mentor, otherwise known as a Soul Mate, gives us that valuable, much-needed perspective. CLG has served as a Soul Mate for a number of successful companies.
